What’s your favorite thing about Laserfiche?
I like WebLink because it’s made publishing to the Web so efficient. It not only saved us time with how we made information available for public use but it enabled us to reach a wider public audience because of its accessibility.
I also like Quick Fields, because it has automated a lot of our business processes. Our DMV uses Real-Time Lookup to populate vehicle information on our templates, while our Real Property department uses Zone OCR to capture bar code data. We also use it to automatically name index documents. But there’s a challenge to using Quick Fields—you have to know when it is practical to use it and not get carried away with it.
Looking forward to:
I am looking forward to the changes that 2009 will bring. We will have a new council, a new administration, and a new president. I like change, because it can be a renewal. It reminds me that I am part of something immensely larger and more complex than myself, and that’s a good thing.
